+900 km! First drive new BMW i3! The best handling family car ever!
BMW is taking a major step forward with the new technology platform in Neue Klasse, featuring a central computer and the “Heart of Joy” software that controls the car’s dynamic characteristics. Not to mention a range of more than 900 km (WLTP). The BMW i3 50 xDrive is technically identical to the BMW iX3—meaning the same battery pack, motors, and so on. Lower weight, smaller wheels, and reduced aerodynamic drag naturally deliver longer range. Prices haven’t been announced, but my guess is around SEK 650,000. I visited BMW’s development center in Arjeplog, where final testing of the new BMW i3 is in full swing. As one of only ten invited journalists from around the world, I’ve driven the new i3 on all kinds of slippery surfaces. I interview Jürgen Brack, head of driving dynamics for the BMW Group, and the Chinese YouTuber Jacky Wang about BMW’s opportunities and challenges in China. But above all—I drive the car! #bmw #bmwi3 #bmwneueklasse #bmwi3neueklasse #heartofjoy #arjeplog #beverage 00:00 Intro 00:25 The secret… 01:25 Test of the BMW iX3, for comparison 04:40 Interior 06:23 Luggage space and premiere 08:27 Test drive 10:45 Aha moment from the ’90s! 11:27 Acceleration 11:55 One brain — like in a human! 12:58 Sport mode 18:15 Interview with Jürgen Brack, head of driving dynamics at the BMW Group! 37:47 The brakes! 40:37 Interview with Chinese YouTuber Jacky Wang 41:15 Closing and price @BMW @BMWchannel #bmw #bmwi3 #bmwneueklasse
