This is the new BMW i3 and it’s not like the old one AT ALL. It’s very much an electric 3 Series. Same size, same ethos. And it’s the second car to be built on BMW’s new bespoke ‘Neue Klasse’ electric platform, following on the heels of the iX3 crossover. But this is the more important car. It’s lower, lighter, supposedly more agile and it’ll spawn a new electric M3, too. It is BMW’s core car, redefined as electric.
