Bizzarrini 5300 GT Corsa Revival Production Line

After the Bizzarrini 5300 GT Corsa Revival was unveiled earlier this year, the first of 24 production vehicles has already departed from the company's dedicated UK plant. The first customer automobile has been delivered to its new owner, and until the entire limited production run is delivered in 2023, other models are being finished and distributed. Each of the 24 continuation models has a Bizzarrini Rosso Corsa finish and white roundels with numbered roundels that each customer can select to have hand-applied to their automobile. The 5300 GT Corsa chassis number 0222, which gained legendary status in the 1965 Le Mans 24 Hours when French racing drivers Regis Fraissinet and Jean de Mortemart drove the 5300 to finish first in its class, is honored with this livery and the overall number of vehicles being made. In addition to finishing the race with an average speed of 169 km/h, Giotto Bizzarrini drove Chassis Number 0222 straight home to Northern Italy. Every car in the Revival series is the most accurate representation of the 5300 GT Corsa on the market. It is as close to the original as possible while yet meeting current safety regulations since it was constructed utilizing the original designs, original suppliers' parts, and expert assistance from the 5300 GT project. The Bizzarrini team transformed into automotive archaeologists in search of those responsible for the restoration of chassis number 0222, where layers of paint had been painstakingly stripped back and forth to reveal the original racing red paint, to ensure the car looks exactly as it would have on the starting line at Le Mans in 1965. Rosso Corsa Bizzarrini 222 was made by color-matching this tint to the Revival. The manually constructed cars have a single-piece lightweight composite body over a steel frame, resulting in a total weight of around 1230 kg. A more thorough six-point roll cage and a safety fuel cell are installed inside to protect the two seats and comply with FIA Appendix K vintage racing requirements. A period-specific 5,300 cubic centimeter V8 with Weber 45 DCOE (Doppio Corpo Orizzontale E) carburettors producing over 400 horsepower is coupled with independent rear suspension to Giotto's Corsa specifications and all-round disc brakes to provide a power to weight ratio comparable with a contemporary supercar. The first 5300GT Corsa Revival to leave the production and be delivered to its new owner makes the crew at Bizzarrini very pleased, according to CMO Simon Busby. This first client delivery is a crucial step toward completely achieving the goal we set forth when we relaunched Bizzarrini earlier this year. With the next phase of the continued development of our contemporary supercar, we will continue to build on the passion and ideals of the founder as we construct the remaining vehicles in this series.
