Mini ReBorn onthulling
Op donderdag 24 oktober was de officiële onthulling van het Mini ReBorn project in de VDL Nedcar fabriek te Born (Limburg). Vijf vakmensen in dienst van VDL Nedcar hebben een Classic Mini welke in 1959 door Molenaar's Automobiel Fabrieken te Amersfoort geassembleerd is helemaal gerestaureerd. De onthulling laat maar eens zien dat Nederland echte vakmensen kent die van een totaal vervallen Classic Mini weer iets prachtigs kunnen maken. De Mini is weer in showroom conditie. VDL Nedcar was an automotive manufacturing company in Born, Netherlands. It was the largest automotive factory in the country, with a production capacity of 240,000 vehicles a year. VDL Nedcar was closed in March 2024 because the contract with BMW Group was not renewed. The company had its origins in a DAF car factory which opened in 1968.
