Behind the Wheel: 1952 Hartnett Pacific
After the Second World War, lots of investors started automotive companies, much like the recent tech start-up craze. Many of these didn't get very far, but perhaps the closest anyone came in Australia was Hartnett. Established by the formed Holden MD Laurence Hartnett, the company looked to sell the first mass-produced affordable family cars in Australia. Unfortunately, supply chain problems were the demise of a car that had lots of merit. Only 3 Hartnett Pacifics survive in the world!
