2012 Pirelli Ferrari Classic - Oulton Park - Race 4 from 308GT4 No 46
In car summary footage from the Oulton Park round of the Pirelli Ferrari Formula Classic series. At a surprisingly dry, yes very dry, Oulton Park we qualify second in class with around 1 second to find. Ray gets a great start and is ahead before the first corner and just pulls away. The awesome Daytona soon follows and finally after a number of laps battling with Richard Stafford behind, David Hatherway chases for a lap before taking the inside line into the first corner. Clearly the new Pirelli rubber is struggling in the dry. Oh we are going to need to find some old Corsa Cs to keep the series lead position in Class 1.
About Ferrari GT4
The Dino 308 GT4 and 208 GT4 (later Ferrari 308 GT4 and 208 GT4) are mid-engined V8 2+2 cars built by Ferrari. The Dino 308 GT4 was introduced in 1973 and supplemented by the 208 GT4 in 1975. The cars were sold with Dino badging (continuing the Dino brand to differentiate non-V12 Ferrari) until May 1976, when they received Ferrari badging. It was the first production Ferrari to feature the rear mid-engined V8 layout that would become the bulk of the company's business in the succeeding decades.
