We’ve got our hands on a BMW M8, AMG GT 4-Door and a Porsche Panamera Turbo, and these V8-powered behemoths are about to go head-to-head over the quarter-mile! However, these are no ordinary German powerhouses. They’ve all been tuned, and are now kicking some serious additional horses over their usual performance stats! So let’s take a closer look at the numbers. Starting with the BMW M8, it’s powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8. This would normally kick out 625hp, but this has now been increased to an almighty 800hp! It’s the lightest car here, at 1,980kg, and the cost of the car new coupled with the tune comes in at around £143,000. Alongside it we have the AMG. It’s packing a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet, which would usually put down 639hp, but this has now been increased to 740hp! It tips the scales at 2,045kg, and it’s the most expensive car here, costing around £154,000! Then finally we have the Porsche. Normally its 4-litre twin-turbo V8 would produce 550hp, but this has now been increased to 740hp - an eye-watering 190hp increase! It’s the heaviest car here, mind, weighing in at 2,080kg, and with the tune the car costs £113,000. So will the more powerful BMW snatch it? Or could either the AMG or Porsche claim the win?
