The "Blue Wonder" high-speed racing car transporter for the 1955 season, which has a sculptured appearance and efficient use of components from production cars of the time, can be seen in Collection Room 2: Gallery of Carriers at the Mercedes-Benz Museum. This exclusive cargo transporter was used to transport racing and racing sports cars quickly and efficiently between the factory and racing events, and it was used to carry the 300 SLR, as well as the W 196 R Formula One racing cars all over Europe during that season. The maximum speed of the vehicle was apparently recorded on the paintwork at the end of the 1955 season, as documented by historical photos, and the vehicle earned the nickname "Blue Wonder" due to its unique appearance, elegance, and speed.
