US-Based Trion Supercars Wants to Build 2,000hp Nemesis RR. Trion Supercars, a fledgling American company, claims it wants to make a 2,000 hp hypercar, as well as several different variants some of which are fully electric and all hover around the 1,000 hp mark (check them out in the gallery below). The 2,000 hp model, called Nemesis RR (the black car in the gallery), will apparently be built in a limited run of 50 examples and (unsurprisingly) draw its power from a 9-liter (!) twin-turbo V8. It would be simply ludicrous to send all of that oomph to just the rear wheels, so we hope for their credibility’s sake that they’re making it all-wheel drive… Aside from the 50 Nemesis RR models, the company is also making nine more ultra-exclusive “Black Ops” models. The first prototypes will be built by N2A Motors of California and should be out and about at the start of 2016. The company specializes in “custom auto manufacturer with a mission of reviving the art of American coach building.” The promised performance figures for the Nemesis RR are zero to sixty in 2.8 seconds, a top speed in excess of 270 mph or 434 km/h. Neither seems hugely impressive since judging by other cars that are already available, it doesn’t really take 2,000 hp to go that fast, especially if your car has a “lightweight carbon fiber body/chassis with Inconel elements.” Source: http://www.carscoops.com/2014/10/us-based-triton-supercars-wants-to.html US-Based Trion Supercars Wants to Build 2,000hp Nemesis RR.
