Can the DENZA B5 and B8 Climb Beer O’Clock Hill Without Stopping

The new 2026 DENZA B5 and DENZA B8 just tackled one of the toughest off road challenges in Australia. At Beer O’Clock Hill in Queensland, these luxury off roaders climbed a brutal 55 degree slope without stopping. Beer O’Clock Hill at The Springs Four Wheel Drive Park is famous for defeating even well built off road vehicles. During this demanding test, the DENZA B5 Leopard and DENZA B8 six seat model used their DiSus P intelligent suspension, mechanical locking differentials, and low range gearing to conquer the 100 meter climb. Engineers fitted Mickey Thompson Baja Boss all terrain tires and adjusted traction, torque, and throttle software to handle the steep rocky surface. The climb includes a difficult rock step that often causes vehicles to lose traction or stall, yet both DENZA vehicles maintained steady momentum and reached the top without hesitation. The vehicles then completed the descent, demonstrating strong control and stability on the steep downhill section. Testing like this helps DENZA refine the vehicles for real world conditions. Data collected from the test will now be analyzed by research and development teams, with possible improvements delivered later through over the air updates. Would you take the DENZA B5 or B8 on this climb? About This Footage

[Denza](/artist/denza)'s Dominance on Beer O'Clock Hill

The latest clip from 2026 showcases the Denza B5 and B8 tackling one of Australia's most notorious off-road challenges, Beer O'Clock Hill. This grueling test pushes even the toughest vehicles to their limits, but the Denza luxury plug-in electric vehicles (PHEVs) emerge unscathed.

The 55-degree slope is a daunting prospect for any vehicle, but the Denza B5 Leopard and six-seat B8 model prove more than capable of handling it. Their advanced DiSus P intelligent suspension system, mechanical locking differentials, and low-range gearing work in tandem to conquer the brutal incline. The addition of Mickey Thompson Baja Boss all-terrain tires and expertly adjusted traction, torque, and throttle software further enhance their off-road prowess.

One of the most impressive aspects of this footage is the Denza vehicles' ability to maintain momentum on the treacherous rock step. This section often proves disastrous for many off-roaders, causing them to lose traction or stall. However, the Denza B5 and B8 demonstrate remarkable control and stability, navigating the challenging terrain with ease.

The descent section of the test is equally impressive, showcasing the vehicles' capabilities in a different light. The Denza PHEVs display strong control and stability on the steep downhill section, further solidifying their reputation as formidable off-road machines.

This testing exercise serves an important purpose for Denza's research and development teams. By pushing their vehicles to the limits of what they can handle, engineers can collect valuable data that will inform future improvements. These insights may be delivered through over-the-air updates, allowing owners to benefit from the lessons learned on Beer O'Clock Hill.

The clip itself is a testament to Denza's commitment to creating vehicles capable of handling even the most extreme off-road conditions. The footage provides an unfiltered look at these luxury PHEVs in action, offering enthusiasts and industry professionals alike a glimpse into their capabilities.

Whether or not viewers would take the Denza B5 or B8 on this climb is open to interpretation. However, one thing is certain: these vehicles have proven themselves to be more than capable of handling even the most daunting off-road challenges. As the automotive landscape continues to evolve, it will be fascinating to see how Denza's innovative approach to vehicle design and testing shapes the future of electric and hybrid mobility.

The Denza B5 and B8's performance on Beer O'Clock Hill is a significant achievement, one that cements their reputation as serious contenders in the luxury off-road market. As we continue to explore the boundaries of what's possible with electric and hybrid vehicles, it will be exciting to see how Denza continues to push the limits of innovation and performance.

The data collected from this test will undoubtedly inform future developments, ensuring that these vehicles remain at the forefront of their class. For now, however, it's clear that the Denza B5 and B8 have earned their place among the elite off-road performers in the automotive world.
