Lot 783 - This 1952 Ford F-1 pickup received a comprehensive frame-off restoration by a well-known member of the Early Ford V8 Club of America. The highly detailed build is factory correct in every possible way. The truck was recently detailed, wet-sanded and polished to show condition. Powered by a 239ci Flathead V8 engine mated to a manual 3-speed transmission. The truck has been serviced, test-driven and has won several awards, including the 2017 Dearborn Award, 2017 AACA Senior Award, 2017 AACA National First Place, 2017 AACA Grand National and 2019 AACA Grand National. The Ford line of cars was refreshed for 1952, although remaining similar to the all-new 1949 Fords. This time, curved one-piece windshield glass joined a new "Mileage Maker" straight-6 engine with 101 hp. The 226 CID (3.7 L) L-head straight-6 was replaced by an overhead valve 215 CID (3.5 L) Mileage Maker with 101 hp (75 kW), while the old 239 CID (3.9 L) Flathead V8 remained with 110 hp (82 kW).
