How is the Tata Nexon made? | Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Plant | Megafactories | evo India
Spanning 460 acres, this plant was acquired by Tata Motors from Ford India on January 10, 2023. Now operated by Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, it was re-tooled in just 12 months. Transitioning from the production of the Ford Figo and Aspire to Tata Nexon ICE and EV models, the change has been both rapid and remarkable. This facility is Tata Motors' second in Gujarat and is capable of producing four different platforms simultaneously. The first ICE Nexon rolled off the assembly line here in January 2024. By April, the plant had begun producing the Nexon EV, ramping up production to meet the surging demand. Currently, the facility has the capacity to produce 300,000 vehicles annually, with the potential to expand up to 420,000. Located in the industrial hub of GIDC Sanand, we offer you an in-depth tour of the plant and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the Tata Nexon ICE and Nexon EV. #evoIndia Want more #ThrillOfDriving videos?
