Ferrari 250 GT - SWB Reborn With Modern V12 Ferrari is on a roll right now, with exciting new models like the SF90 Stradale hypercar, the Roma grand tourer, and the recently unveiled 812 Competizione. But none of them are as beautiful as the Ferrari 250 GT. Sir Stirling Moss once described the 250 GT SWB as "the greatest GT car in the world," while the 250 GTO is arguably the most beautiful Ferrari road car ever made. Since tracking down an original example is difficult and expensive, several companies are reimagining Ferrari's classic grand tourer for the 21st century. GTO Engineering is working on the Squalo, and now UK firm RML Group, which also built a one-off road-legal Aston Martin Vulcan, has presented a new take on the 1959 Ferrari 250 GT SWB with retro styling and modern tech. Dubbed the RML Short Wheelbase, RML Group's modern-day Ferrari 250 "pays homage to the driving purity of supercars from the past" while offering "21st-century comfort and convenience." In terms of proportions, the RML Short Wheelbase is larger than the 250 GT SWB that inspired it, but its carbon fiber body retains the original beautiful sweeping lines while design cues such as the stacked rear lights, exposed fuel filler, front grille, and air vents behind each wheel and on the hood have been reimagined. Powering this stunning restomod is a naturally-aspirated 5.5-liter V12 engine from a 550 Maranello that produces 478 hp and 419 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox. This enables the reimagined 250 GT to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 185 mph. No photos have been released of the cabin, but the interior is modernized with "exquisitely-trimmed" electrically adjustable seats, satellite navigation, air conditioning, cupholders and smartphone connectivity. ________________________________________________________________ COPYRIGHT DISCLAIMER: If an agency or product owner have complaints about something or find your content being used incorrectly, Please contact the broadcaster prior for deleting your content for making copyright claim. About Wheelbase

In both road and rail vehicles, the wheelbase is the horizontal distance between the centers of the front and rear wheels. For road vehicles with more than two axles, the wheelbase is the distance between the steering (front) axle and the centerpoint of the driving axle group. In the case of a tri-axle truck or bus, the wheelbase would be the distance between the steering axle and a point midway between the two rear axles.
