SNAKE ISLAND You probably won’t get arrested if you travel to Snake Island, also known as Ilha da Queimada Grande, because you’ll have bigger problems to worry about, and even the police don’t go there, anyway. NORTH SENTINEL ISLAND North Sentinel Island is part of the Andaman Islands, an archipelago located in India’s Bay of Bengal. This island is home to a tribe of people called the Sentinelese, who are one of the last surviving pre-Neolithic tribes in the world, as well as one of the few remaining mostly-uncontacted tribes. 3. In 1864, the Sinclairs acquired Niihau from King Kamehameha in exchange for $10,000 worth of gold. 1. CHERNOBYL In most cases, entry into Chernobyl is forbidden, due to the radioactive hazards that are present there. The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant was a fully functioning nuclear plant for about a decade after it was built in 1977.
