The Welsh Car Maker - Gilbern : 60 Years of the Dragon

The name Gilbern Cars may not mean much to many, but to a few dedicated petrol heads in Wales they are the holy grail of vehicles. Launched in 1959 in Llantwit Fadre, Gilben had a short but interesting history, most notably the Gilbern owners club which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. To this day it remains one of, if not the only car company to come out of Wales. At Cyfartha Park in Merthyr Tydfil we caught up with some of the members of the owners club on their annual meetup to discuss what exactly makes Gilbern Cars so special.
