6 SHOOTERS, WINGLESS SPRINTS CENTRAL MOTORS SPEEDWAY. 2024

Central Motor Speedway and the 6 Shooters rolled out on track for their 2 Heats and a Feature. Quite unfamiliar with the who is who in what car, as dont see often enough, but good to see a name i am familiar with, from Ruapuna Speedway, Baylee Clive, although didnt get up the pointy end, still had a good ding-dong with the Southies 😉 Im quite familiar with these engines, the good ol V6 3.8 Holden engine, running X Sprintcar chassis's, minus the wings. Pity i couldnt grab one of those engines and put into my car, as very sick motor at the moment. So kick back and enjoy the 6 Shooters, kick up some dust and get into it. Its one thing with good ol Central Motor Speedway, it is a fantastic track, very fast and many like it but im sure as hell the folk of the Club also arent great fans of the dust. It would have to be one of the hardest speedway tracks to try keep any moisture in, due to the location, very hot and dry place. But im sure they and the fans would love to see some recipe to try and eliminate the dust, as "Desert Storm" can be incredibly hard to see for all. Speaking to a ol mate in Modifieds, who has taken a couple trips over to Aussie, to Warrnambool speedway, he was saying that they dont even see a water truck come out during a meeting and very minimal dust, which is surprising as we all know Aussie can get stinking hot. Who knows what their surface is, but might be worth investigating. From what i heard over the day down there in Central, sawdust had been added, to try keep some moisture, but not very successful. But what ever, its still a dam exceptional track to watch racing, great venue, great people and no doubt one day i will be back down there. 1st January 2024
