Der VEB Automobilwerk Eisenach (kurz AWE) war ein Automobilhersteller im thüringischen Eisenach. Das 1896 als Fahrzeugfabrik Eisenach gegründete Werk wurde 1928 von den Bayerischen Motoren Werken übernommen und nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg verstaatlicht. 1953 erhielt das Werk den endgültigen Namen VEB Automobilwerk Eisenach und produzierte ab 1955 den Wartburg. 1991 wurde das Unternehmen von der Treuhandanstalt geschlossen. Gleichzeitig eröffnete Opel ein Werk in Eisenach, das die Tradition der Autoindustrie in der Stadt fortführt.
