JMC Landwind 5
If you attended last year's Gauteng Motor Fest, you would have spotted an unfamiliar vehicle on the JMC stand. The Chinese company presented its first foray into the SUV market, the Landwind 5, which is produced in conjunction with Changan. Interestingly, this otherwise wholly Chinese sandwich has a Japanese filling, a 2l turbo charged four cylinder engine from Mitsubishi, and as Lindsay and Marius found out during their test drive, this power plant is the jewel in the Landwind 5's crown.
About Landwind
Landwind was an automobile marque owned by the Chinese automaker Jiangling Motor Holding (JMH), a joint venture between Jiangxi Guokong Automotive Investment Corporation (50%), Jiangling Motors Corporation Group (25%) and Changan Automobile (25%).
