Welcome to the sale of my Sunbeam Talbot Supreme Mk3. As I am sure you are aware these cars are extremely rare, only 2250 cars were built between 1954/57. How many left web-site have only 13 cars currently UK licensed from 1954, there is only a hand full of these cars left!! And what a car of it’s time! This was the rally car to beat in it’s day, many International rallies were won by the works Rootes group Sunbeams to include the Monte Carlo and Alpine rallies. I am not surprised as this car keeps up with modern traffic well, it has a great turn of speed, certainly for a car of it’s year, comparible with saloon Jaguars from this era. My car is very original for it’s 63 years, it has had a colour change from Gunmetal to the present creamy/beige, other than that it’s about as original as you can get! The car has had only 2/3 owners, it started life in London registered to owner 1) Mr William Denison Ness Hoare, 6 Kensington Court Place London W8, he owned the car for its first 10 years, I have no documentation from this time other than the Buff log book. Owner 2) From 1964-2016 Mr Daniel Edward Swallows, Thatch End, Godmanstone, Dorset. I have service work, repair invoices from this era through to the mid 70’s where I can only assume the car was taken off the road and garaged through to 2016 where it was sold for restoration, firstly to Terry Cesterman of Fairford Gloucestershire, where Terry arranged the new V5C log book and got the car going. I then purchased the car to finished off. It is in lovely solid condition, full of patIna, not immaculate, just very original, strong and mechanically sound, you could drive home in this car, it does drive brilliantly. Whilst the paint shines it does have marks in the body, however it is not trying to be a new one, it does present really well and always generates lots of interest. Car data - First registered - 9th December 1954 2 owner car Mileage 72126. The speedo head has just been replaced, the original speedo is in the boot with 35k on the clock! However tracking back on the paperwork it looks like the mileage had stuck in the late 60’s early 70’s. Original number PUW 57, now NOT transferable, thank heavens! Serviced and lubricated from top to toe, new oil/filter, spark plugs etc. There are some spares in the boot. The tool kit is all there in the boot lid. 4 virtually new cross ply tyres. Zero play in steering or suspension, again all greased. Solid chassis, freshly wax-oiled. Copper brake pipes throughout, new brake hoses. New carpets throughout. Please enjoy my video detailed tour of the car, you will hear it run like a watch, you will be able to confirm my description. What more can I say? This is a lovely car and I suspect a very sharp investment for its rarity alone, not to forget the enjoyment of driving it. Viewing is welcomed and encouraged please call to arrange. For more details please call Mike Edge on 07811 698250, or visit mikeedge.co.uk and follow the contact page. Oversea’s buyers are welcome as long as we can complete our business. Transport to the Port of your choice can be arranged. Thanks for looking

About Car

A car, or an automobile, is a motor vehicle with wheels. Most definitions of cars state that they run primarily on roads, seat 1-8 people, have four wheels, and mainly transport people rather than cargo. There are over 1.6 billion cars in use worldwide as of 2025. The French inventor Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot built the first steam-powered road vehicle in 1769, while the Swiss inventor François Isaac de Rivaz designed and constructed the first internal combustion-powered automobile in 1808. The mode...
