TINY Chinese Electric Supermini Roewe e50 - CHINA DRIVER
This week we test a battered mini electric car from Chinese maker Roewe (previously Rover...kind of). The e50 is a small car released in 2014 and has been zipping around the streets of Shanghai with a top speed of 75mph and a range of about 100 miles...so what is it like to drive? ABOUT ME: I'm Elliot, I love cars and love driving. I have been living in China for a while and want to share the cars that are only available in China to a global audience. I hope you enjoy watching the video as much as I enjoy making it! Any suggestions for cars you would like me to test next, pop it in the comments :) *I am not being paid by anyone, not the manufacturers or the rental company, to make these videos.
About Roewe
Roewe (Chinese: 荣威; pinyin: Róngwēi) is an automotive brand owned by the Chinese automaker SAIC Motor since 2006. Roewe vehicles were initially based on technology acquired from defunct British carmaker MG Rover. SAIC was unable to purchase the rights to the Rover brand name (which was retained by BMW, subsequently sold to Ford and ultimately returned to Jaguar Land Rover) and created the Roewe marque as a replacement.
