Mopar Nats 09 - Chevrolet Nova Vs Ford Zephyr
Near lane - 1962 Ford Zephyr 6 Mark III w/ Chevy V8 - 9.851@142mph Far lane - 1970 Chevrolet Nova - 9.978@132mph Two more very fast cars going head-to-head on the strip. The Nova won the heads-up despite being a tenth of a second slower down the strip by virtue of having a slightly better reaction time - it was THAT close :) Also, big respect to Guinea Pig Racing, another great stable, and their flagship car is the Zephyr you can see here, a classic British Ford hiding a small-block Chevy V8 packing around 450hp :) Also, my dad and Owen make brief cameos in this video, discussing the Taz Racing Fiats :)
About Ford Zephyr
The Ford Zephyr is an executive car manufactured by Ford of Britain from 1950 until 1972. The Zephyr and its luxury variants, the Ford Zodiac and Ford Executive, were the largest passenger cars in the British Ford range from 1950 until their replacement by the Consul and Granada models in 1972. Initially, the four-cylinder version was named Ford Consul, but from 1962, both four- and six-cylinder versions were named Zephyr.
