Fairthorpe Zeta Goodwood Trackday, MG`s On Track 2024, session 3
This Goodwood Trackday footage was taken mid October 2024 on a cold damp day, the event was run by MG`s On Track and is from the 3rd morning session. The Zeta was built in 1960 and has a Mk2 Ford Zephyr 2553cc straight 6 engine with a Raymond Mays alloy cylinder head and triple Weber 40DCOE carbs. Power is 160bhp and it is running on road tyres. Watch the footage from the 4th morning session as the track had dried slightly more and it is a little bit quicker. Unfortunately heavy rain arrived during the lunch break so although i went out and did a couple of sessions in the afternoon there is no footage as i`m not sure the GoPro is waterproof!
About Ford Zephyr
The Ford Zephyr is an executive car manufactured by Ford of Britain from 1950 until 1972. The Zephyr and its luxury variants, the Ford Zodiac and Ford Executive, were the largest passenger cars in the British Ford range from 1950 until their replacement by the Consul and Granada models in 1972. Initially, the four-cylinder version was named Ford Consul, but from 1962, both four- and six-cylinder versions were named Zephyr.
