Meet Nate, aka Project Zamurai, and his 1970 Datsun 240Z—a classic reborn with some serious upgrades under the hood. This isn’t your standard low number 240Z; it’s a beast with a fully swapped powertrain from a later 280ZX. Nate’s masterpiece now boasts a built L28 engine, equipped with high compression pistons, triple weber carbs, a K&N intake, and a ported N42 head. The exhaust? Completely custom. But it doesn’t stop there—he’s thrown in a five-speed gearbox and an R200 rear end to handle the extra power. Braking? Full Wilwood system all around. And for suspension, it’s an APEX engineered reaction coilover setup, along with Techno Toy Tuning strut bars and control arms. Even steering has been modernized with an electric power steering system from Techno Toy. Next on Nate’s list? Sorting the bodywork and paint. Trust me, you’ll want to stay tuned for that! This is just the beginning of the build. Nate’s got big plans for this Californian gem, and you won’t want to miss what’s coming next on Ignition Therapy.
