Rheinmetall Unveils Multi Role Vehicle With New Turret System
Rheinmetall has unveiled its new version of AMPV multi-role vehicle with new modular turret system. The AMPV multi-role vehicle, modified in order to meet the basic requirements of the Pegasus programme, equipped with a new remote control, medium-calibre turret system. The turret system armed with a 12.7 mm machine gun (MG) and a two pod of Spike Long Range anti-tank guided missiles mounted externally on the left and right side of the turret. It is equipped with an optoelectronic head that is a modification of the Stabilized Electro-optical Sighting System (SEOSS), which is much better at detecting, identifying and guiding target armament.
