This is the legendary 1987 Porsche 959 Komfort, a supercar with Group B rally racing roots, which debuted as the fastest car in the world topping out at 197 miles per hour, achieving 0-60 in just 3.4 seconds, and paving the way for Porsche all-wheel-drive models. This particular Guards Red 959, car number 121, is up for auction at RM Sothebys 2024 Arizona auction as offered from Silver Arrow Cars. Power comes from a twin turbocharged 2.85 liter flat 6 producing 444 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, with the lowest gear being a G for Gelande or “Terrain” and sending power to all four wheels.
