LOCATION Korinos is a town in Pieria regional unit at Macedonia Greece, has approximately 5000 citizens and it's located 5km northeast of Katerini, the capital of Pieria. Korinos is famous for its beaches and hotels which make the village an ideal place for tourism. OPERATOR TRAINOSE, member of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group (FSI) LOCOMOTIVES HellasSprinter (class 120) is the first class of electric locomotives of the Hellenic Railways Organisation (OSE). A total of 30 locomotives were built in two batches between 1996 and 2005. HellasSprinter locomotives are based on the EuroSprinter "ES 64P" prototype,which was adapted for a lower power of (5,000kW / 6,700hp),a lower weight of 80 tonnes and electric components suitable for the Greek 25 kV AC - 50 Hz system.
