Electric 1993 Toyota MR2 Update
A short video overviewing the electric conversion including another test drive. A full video will be produced later detailing the entire process. Display uses a Samsung Note 10 Tablet, running the Torque PRO app. An OBD2 port was wired into the Orion BMS2 on the primary CAN bus wires, chassis and -12V battery Ground and +12V. (A total of 5 wires). Electric vacuum assist via a 12V vacuum pump and 2 pressure relays (one for high vacuum switch (to prevent continuous pumping once vacuum is reached, and a low vacuum switch (to alert driver that low vacuum is present and brakes will be more difficult to apply).

The Toyota MR2 is a two-seater sports car which was manufactured and marketed by Toyota from 1984 until 2007 over three generations. It was the first Japanese rear-mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive production car and was sold around the world. The first generation (W10) was produced from 1984 to 1989, the second generation (W20) from 1989 to 1999, and the third generation (W30) from 1999 to 2007.
