1976 BMW R75/6 Curry Metallic | Bello Moto Walkaround

A real survivor with patina galore and a strong heart, ready for fresh adventures. This very original BMW R75/6 is a fine example of vintage classic engineering that can still hack it in modern traffic. Overall good condition attests to a history of attentive care and regular maintenance. This bike is very original, including the rare and cool color “Curry Metallic”, an official BMW shade offered for a limited time. Bike has just received a comprehensive service by our BMW specialist and is ready to roar. Everything works and bike runs well displaying the unique character for which BMWs are famous. Scratches and scuffs in the paint are present, both on the tank and on the fenders, but the paint still shines nicely. Cosmetics are unrestored, but very nice original components throughout. There is wear and weathering to the paintwork and frame. Recent work performed on the bike included an oil and other fluids change, valve adjustment, carb rebuilds on both sides, new fuel lines and air cleaner, bleed and adjust front disc brake, swing arm service, fork service, greased rear splines and checked and adjusted rear brakes, clutch cable check and adjust. We installed a telefix fork brace (an original BMW part) to aid stability and also help cover a repair made to the front fender by the previous owner. The battery is less than 1 year old. The seat has been recovered. The bike has special fluted period aftermarket rims from Spanish company "Akront" that wear Metzeler tires with good tread, though over 5 years old. Starts, runs and rides like a BMW should. Odometer shows 30,217 miles ...true mileage unknown. There is a bit of smoke on startup which suggests the engine is getting on, but for now the bike makes good power and idles smoother than any other BMW we have seen. Comes with BMW side cases, rear rack and a tool kit.
