The Porsche Museum is expanding its range of digital offerings: Interested parties can now take a virtual tour of the special exhibition “50 Years of Porsche Development Weissach” in German and English. This is how the history of the genesis of the ideal birthplace of all Porsche sports cars finds its way into the living rooms of this world. A trained museum guide not only gives an insight into the beginnings and the development of the site, but also into the highly developed departments of the development center in Weissach. The various areas of the special exhibition are presented on the basis of facts and stories: Among other things, the "First Steps" deal with the history of the development center and the groundbreaking ceremony in 1961. At the "Test Bench" station, viewers gain an insight into everything what employees do on test benches. The "Design", "Porsche Engineering" and "Motorsport" areas offer equally fascinating stories as well as vehicles and innovations. The break-in and test track, on which Porsche puts its sports cars through their paces, is also explained in more detail. Original pictures of the Dr. Ing. hc F.
