Truth behind badge engineering #CarRebadging #BadgeEngineering
Rebadging is a practice in the automotive industry where one car manufacturer sells a vehicle under a different brand name, often with minimal changes to the original model. Toyota and Suzuki have engaged in rebadging partnerships in various markets. In the case of Toyota-Suzuki rebadging, it primarily involves Suzuki vehicles being sold under Toyota’s brand, or vice versa, in different markets. Here are a few examples: Suzuki Across and Toyota RAV4 Prime: The Suzuki Across is essentially a rebadged version of the Toyota RAV4 Prime (plug-in hybrid) in certain markets. While the vehicles are nearly identical, the Suzuki Across carries Suzuki branding and minor styling differences. Toyota and Suzuki Compact Cars: In some markets, smaller Suzuki models like the Suzuki Baleno and Suzuki Vitara may be sold under Toyota branding, as the two companies have collaborated on compact car offerings. For example, the Toyota Glanza is a rebadged Suzuki Baleno, offering Toyota's branding and slight modifications to the model. Toyota Urban Cruiser and Suzuki Vitara Brezza: The Toyota Urban Cruiser is a rebadged version of the Suzuki Vitara Brezza, a subcompact SUV. In some markets like India, Toyota sells this model as part of their small SUV lineup.
