Let's take on the Goodwood FOS hillclimb in the 1,100hp Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne! Limited to only 5 units, the Boulogne is the even lighter, even more potent version of the retro-themed Hispano Suiza Carmen. I'm joining former-F1 driver Luis Pérez-Sala to go flat out! Hispano Suiza launched the Carmen, limited to only 19 units, as an EV sportscar that would re-ignite the traditional brand that built over 12,000 cars in the first half of the last century. With 4 electric engines, they all drive the rear axle, offering just over 1,000hp in the Carmen, and now in the Carmen Boulogne, that's limited to 5 cars, the number jumps up to 1,100hp. Along with that, weight is down 60kg to 1,630kg despite the 105kWh battery pack (increased from 80kWh before) that offers 400km (250 miles) driving range. Kicking off from the Supercar Paddock at the Goodwood Festival of Speed alongside a fabulous array of cars, we head down to line up for the run to the top. Despite the slippery conditions, the Carmen Boulogne has no problems making a statement and demonstrating effortless performance.
