1989 Porsche Panamericana
The Porsche "Panamerica" first appeared at the 1989 Frankfurt Motor Show and was a gift for Ferdinand "Freddy" Porsche (the big boss of Stuttgart). The Panamericana was build based on a Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and has been kept at the Porsche Museum ever since. This very odd-looking car which mixes both Targa and cabriolet parts is very hard to "understand" what it's all about. To me, it personnally looks like a Dakar car as well, mixed with a frog. About Porsche Panamericana
The Porsche Panamericana is a concept automobile produced by Porsche AG. It was designed by Dutchman Harm Lagaay along with Steve Murkett (designers) and Ulrich Bez (technical director) to preview some design features that would be on the upcoming 993 generation 911.
