Rimac's Nevera became the fastest-accelerating production car ever made, Porsche's Taycan proved that an electric car could feel like a proper sports car, and legacy manufacturers from BMW to Lotus announced the end of internal combustion. The car world is in the midst of its biggest transformation since the invention of the automobile itself. At the same time, a new wave of restomods and continuation cars — like the Singer 911 and Eagle E-Type — reflects a deep nostalgia for the analogue driving experience.
