RoboSense Secures LiDAR Order for 1 Million Units from FAW Toyota
...Source: https://cnev.co/sbfRitm Transcript: According to China EV Post, Chinese LiDAR manufacturer RoboSense just secured a major order from FAW Toyota to supply nearly one million LiDAR units over the next five years. These sensors will be used in one of FAW Toyota’s top-selling models, which hints at being a sedan based on a teaser image shared online. This is the second big deal between RoboSense and FAW Toyota, following an earlier partnership supplying LiDARs for a Toyota Battery EV starting in 2023. RoboSense has been rapidly expanding—just last month, the company shipped over 150,000 units, and it's now reached a global milestone of one million automotive LiDAR units delivered, the first company worldwide to do so. RoboSense’s EM platform LiDARs are already in 56 car models across 13 different automakers, reinforcing its growing influence in autonomous driving tech. Founded in 2014, RoboSense continues to be a major player in both short- and long-range LiDAR for vehicles and robotics.
