Those who did not have time bought the W210... and often regretted their choice. The basic difference between the two models was that the W124 was planned in times of crisis and designed to last as long as possible. Its successor was a car that was expected to perform well during the manufacturer's warranty period... the difference doesn't need to be explained, but it's what makes the W124 a cult model. Interestingly, the T model, or station wagon, is currently very expensive on the German market, even chasing the prices of coupes and convertibles. The reasons? The Mercedes-Benz W124 is a range of executive cars made by Daimler-Benz from 1984 to 1997. The range included numerous body configurations, and though collectively referred to as the W-124, official internal chassis designations varied by body style: saloon (W 124); estate (S 124); coupé (C 124); cabriolet (A 124); limousine (V 124); rolling chassis (F 124); and long-wheelbase rolling chassis (VF 124).
