Disney is reportedly restoring the original 1977 theatrical cut of Star Wars: A New Hope using the original film negatives for a true 4K restoration, and may also be doing the same with the other two OG trilogy films. Leaked footage suggests A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi are all being restored with their original color grading and film grain intact.
