Porsche History - The beginnings

In the car history, the horse figure doesn't only represent Ferrari. There is also the female horse, the symbol of the city of Stuttgart, in the middle of the Porsche shield together with deer's horns and black and red stripes, the emblems of Baden Wurttemberg, the region where the German car producer is based. Porsche history is connected with the Porsche family. In 1948, Ferdinand Porsche, after having creating the Beetle Volkswagen, designed with his son Ferry the first Porsche car, spider 356 using the 4 cylinders engine and other Volkswagen parts. From that moment on numerous 356 coupe models, cabriolets and spiders were created. Spiders started to take part in the most important car races. ------------------------------------------------------- Nella storia dell'auto non figura solo un cavallino, quello rampante della ferrari, ma anche una cavallina, simbolo della città di Stoccarda. Essa figura al centro dello scudetto porsche, assieme alle corna di cervo e alle strisce rosse e nere, emblemi della regione del baden wurttemberg, in cui si trova proprio stoccarda, sede della casa tedesca. Le vicende della porsche sono legate a quelle della famiglia porsche. Nel 1948, dopo aver in precedenza creato la volkswagen (il ""maggiolino""), Ferdinand Porsche, assieme al figlio Ferry, diede vita alla prima porsche, la 356, una spider, fabbricata sfruttando il motore 4 cilindri e altri particolari meccanici della volkswagen. Da quel momento i modelli 356 coupé, cabriolet e spider, con motori prodotti dall'azienda, si moltiplicarono e la porsche divenne una realtà anche nel settore delle competizioni con le sue spider.
