Toyota Motor Corporation is planning to introduce "Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCV)" to the "45th Tokyo Motor Show 2017" that will be held from October 25 to November 5 at the Tokyo Big Site (public release is from October 28) We will exhibit the concept model "Fine - Comfort Ride". Fine - Comfort Ride is to propose it as "a new form of premium saloon" by taking advantage of the large layout of energy unique to electric vehicles and hydrogen as an energy source. In addition to excellent environmental performance that does not discharge CO2 and environmentally hazardous substances during traveling, convenience to obtain sufficient travel distance with hydrogen filling for about 3 minutes, we pursued further possibilities of FCV through the same model creation. In the exterior, a diamond type cabin which narrowed down from the front to the center of the vehicle has been expanded upward, downward, left and right, and the space of the second row seat and the aerodynamic performance is maximized. Utilizing the free layout unique to electric cars, we adopted an in-wheel motor, covered the four corners of the tire and the bottom of the body with a cover, realizing high driving stability and quietness suitable for premium saloon. The interior embodies future mobility that provides value other than movement to passengers with the theme of "Wearing Comforts". The agent function and the touch display are arranged around the seat that can be adjusted to a free posture, and the passenger can freely access the information. Also, the sheet layout can be freely adjusted, so that it can be used as "individual space" as "pieces × pieces of communication space". On the driving surface, in addition to high quietness and smooth running, the high power consumption that uses hydrogen as its energy source is utilized to realize the cruising distance of about 1000 km (JC 08 mode) while enriching the equipment inside the car.
