First shakedown drive of the BMW E24 635CSi, Rocky Mountain Sharknose
Took the 635CSi (E24) out for its first shakedown drive around the neighborhood. Sure, I use a 12mm wrench and a couple of relay jumpers as a starting routine; lots of stuff doesn't work and the dash lights up like a Christmas tree but all in all it drove pretty well for not moving for several years. *PRO TIP: Do NOT turn on the vents unless you want a face full of mulch, lol It ran, accelerated, shifted, down shifted, steered, braked; all the basic stuff (even the directional signals worked and those bulbs have probably never been used 🤣😂🤣😂) We are making progress folks! The BMW E24 is the first generation of BMW 6 Series range of grand tourer cars, which was produced from January 1976 to 1989 and replaced the BMW E9 coupé.
