So, you want to buy a GS. Great bike. But the R1100GS is one of the best GS's that were ever made. They are a real motorbike, no stupid electronics, to woo the novice rider. These bikes have to be ridden, properly. You have to be able to work out what to do if it rains, yourself!!!! imagine that!!! No 'rain mode' switch to do it all for you. When you pull the brake lever, the brakes go on. No servo to do it for you. This video tells you what to look for if you are buying one. The BMW R1100GS is a dual-sport motorcycle that was launched in 1993, and manufactured from 1994 to 1999 by BMW Motorrad in Berlin, Germany.
