We were invited behind the scenes by Porsche @carwow Carrera Cup GB driver Sid Smith for an unforgettable weekend at Donington Park with exclusive access to the paddock, garage and Porsche Clubhouse. Across two incredible days, we followed Sid and the team through qualifying, race preparation, and two championship races. From the frustration of a lap being deleted after a track limits incident, to losing the front splitter in race 1, and still fighting home in fourth place, this was a weekend full of highs, lows and everything in between. We also caught up with Sid after qualifying, and again after race 1, to hear exactly what was happening from the driver’s perspective. Plus, we spoke to fellow Porsche Carrera Cup GB driver Max Coates after his dramatic accident, as his team worked flat out to rebuild the car for race 2. This is a genuine, behind the scenes look at what it takes to compete in one of Britain’s most competitive one-make racing championships, with access that fans rarely get to see. A huge thank you to Sid Smith, Graves Motorsport, and everyone who welcomed us into the garage throughout the weekend. We’d also like to thank the businesses helping to make the season possible, including August Performance, Revive Raceline, Green Recycling, GAD Tuning, Waste Insure, Westbound Logistics Group, and all the team’s other valued partners. Interested in supporting a rising Porsche racing driver? Sid Smith and his team are actively looking to partner with businesses that would like to be involved in the Carwow Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship. If your company is interested in sponsorship or hospitality opportunities, please get in touch via Sid’s official channels, or leave a comment below and we’ll help put you in touch with the team. If you enjoyed this behind-the-scenes access, please like and subscribe, and let us know in the comments if you’d like to see more race weekends from inside the paddock. #PorscheCarreraCupGB #CarreraCupGB #SidSmith #DoningtonPark #Motorsport #Porsche911GT3Cup #BehindTheScenes #RaceWeekend #MotorMadMax #carwow
