Design house Italdesign unveils new Zerouno supercar
(6 Mar 2018) LEADIN: Italian design house Italdesign has unveiled the new Zerouno supercar at the Geneva Motor Show. Also on show is the futuristic Pop Up Next. STORYLINE: Italdesign's strictly limited and highly expensive car unveiled on stage at the Geneva Motor Show. The company is aiming at collectors and enthusiasts with the vehicle embracing racing car features in a street-legal vehicle. The carbon-aluminim chassis and seven speed dual clutch box help push the Zerouno Duerta to around 200 mph. Just five of the cars are being made this year, with a price tag rumoured to be around £2 (m)illion. Also on stage, Italdesign's Pop Up Next. The idea is to allow a direct transfer from an Airbus aircraft into a Pop Up within an airport terminal. There's also the promise of entertainment continuity on board from one mode of transport to another while travelling. It's envisaged that the fully electric vehicles will move autonomously to the next customer or a charging point. The vehical would also be available 24/7. The annual Geneva International Motor Show opens to the public on 8 March and runs until March 18. Around 900 models will be shown by 180 exhibitors, including over 110 world and European premiers.
