Slowly I'm tinkering with the 1948 #Crosley CC Sedan. I need to remove some more bits inside and get the seats upholstered and sort all the extra parts the previous owner gave me. This little #microcar makes me smile :) The 1948 Crosley CC Sedan was a compact car manufactured by the Crosley Corporation from 1946 to 1948. It was part of the Crosley CC line, which included other body styles such as convertibles, wagons, and pickups. The Crosley CC Sedan was a small and lightweight car with a boxy shape, measuring just 145 inches in length and weighing around 1,300 pounds. It was powered by a 44-cubic inch, four-cylinder engine that produced around 26 horsepower, and was paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Despite its diminutive size and low power output, the Crosley CC Sedan was marketed as a practical and economical car for everyday use. It was relatively inexpensive to purchase and maintain, and boasted good fuel economy for its time. The interior of the Crosley CC Sedan was basic but functional, with room for four passengers and a simple dashboard with basic gauges and controls. Options included a radio and heater, as well as various accessories such as seat covers and floor mats. Overall, the Crosley CC Sedan was an interesting and unique car from a bygone era, known for its quirky styling and practicality. While it may not have been the fastest or most luxurious car on the road, it remains a popular choice among collectors and vintage car enthusiasts today.

The French inventor Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot built the first steam-powered road vehicle in 1769, while the Swiss inventor François Isaac de Rivaz designed and constructed the first internal combustion-powered automobile in 1808.
