BMW Spartanburg Plant Tour for the debut of the 2015 BMW X6

The BMW Group recently celebrated the anniversary of its first two decades of production at the Spartanburg plant in the US state of South Carolina. Constructed in a record time of just 23 months, the plant has enjoyed a fast-moving and consistently successful career ever since production began in 1994. To date, approximately 2.8 million BMW models have come off the lines at the US plant and been shipped to customers in 140 markets all over the world. The production lines at the plant, which in the meantime has become the competence centre for BMW X models, now build four different X models and their derivatives. Further models and versions will follow.
