Vancouver Island was wet and beautiful, as always. In this first drive review, we take the 2026 Lexus RZ 350e out on the road to see whether Lexus has finally found the right balance for its electric crossover. With a larger 77 kWh battery, improved range, and a more sensible price point, the most affordable RZ ends up being the most compelling version of the lineup. Lexus didn’t reinvent the RZ for 2026, but it fixed what mattered most. The result is a quiet, composed, and more usable electric SUV that finally aligns with Lexus’ reputation for refinement. The front-wheel-drive RZ 350e delivers the longest range in the lineup at an estimated 478 km, while maintaining the calm ride, upscale cabin, and predictable road manners buyers expect. Higher-output versions may add power and all-wheel drive, but they give up too much range in return. After a proper first drive on real roads, the RZ 350e makes a strong case for itself as the smart choice in the Lexus electric lineup. 2026 Lexus RZ 350e Highlights: • New 77 kWh battery increases estimated range to 478 km, addressing one of the original RZ’s biggest weaknesses. • Front-wheel-drive setup delivers 221 horsepower with smooth, confident everyday performance and excellent ride comfort. • Priced at $63,400 including fees, the 350e offers the best balance of range, refinement, and value in the lineup.
