Pure Cold Start and full rev exhaust SOUND footage of the recently revealed 2016 / 2017 Porsche 911 "Facelift" (991.2) now featuring a 3.0 Biturbo Flat-Six instead of the previous 3.8 naturally aspirated engine. Engine specs are 420 hp and 500 Nm, through 4WD and a 7-speed PDK. Many people have argued that adding a Turbo would kill the pure and nostalgic noise with those modern "Carrera Turbos", but I think this video proofs that everything is on the bright side! While the raw tone in low revs might be a bit quieter than in the previous model there is a deep and hollow sound in the mids and highs which is equally thrilling as before. In addition to that you get these marvelous Turbo whistles and some even nicer pops & crackles....I love it! The Porsche 991 is the seventh generation of the Porsche 911 sports car, which was unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show on 15 September as the replacement for the 997. The 991 was an entirely new platform, only the third since the original 911 launched in 1963 (the 996 of 1999 was the second new platform).
