Aston Martin Vanquish V12 | Car Review

The upgrades are intended to make the Vanquish "little sportier and more focused," according to Aston CEO Ulrich Bez, and include stronger front uprights, shorter springs, tighter damping, and a revised front suspension wheel bearing assembly. The steering arms have been shortened, resulting in a 20% increase in helm speed, and the ride height has been reduced by 5mm. The new wheels reduce unsprung weight, but the main news is behind them: Brembo brake discs at the front have been expanded from 355mm to 378mm and have a 33% higher thermal capacity in an attempt to remove fade from the old system. The front callipers now feature six pistons rather than four, resulting in a 21% increase in pad area. The rear discs have the same 330mm diameter as the front ones, but are 2mm thicker. Finally, competition pads from Pagid are used.
