UPDATE; SOLD I hated to let it go because it reminded me so much of my Dad but come to think of it he drove it like he stole it, to him it was a driver. Even though he put all that work into restoring it he would say things like "It's just a car what do you mean you can't drive it in the rain ? What's it going to do...melt ? " I miss you Dad. This 1940 Mclaughlin Buick 40 Series Sedan, currently listed For Sale at $15,500.00 was ground up restored in the late 80's or early 90's by my Father at Rumbleseat Restorations in Mission BC. This car has been driven A Lot as a daily driver and is starting to show it's age but the three on the tree, straight eight still runs quite well. The car sat for about 15 years or so until it was pulled out of the barn and gone through last year. It has new brakes, plugs, points and the carb was gone through. The car could use some attention, some paint and body work as there are a few spots of rust and the running boards need to be re-covered. The interior is okay but the headliner is a bit stained but not ripped up or torn. The dash has some added bits but everything seems to work. I won't give this car away because it reminds me of my Dad but I would like it to go to someone who will appreciate, enjoy and drive it.
