1999-2003 Ford Windstar FMVSS 208 Unbelted Full-Overlap Frontal Crash Test (95th Dr. / 50th Pass.)

A Full-Overlap frontal impact at 30 Mph (48 Km/h) where both driver and passenger are unbelted. This series of tests is performed with alternating 95th Percentile Male and 50th Percentile Male occupants. Quoted per NHTSA & VOLPE: "The purpose of this testing was to evaluate and compare vehicle and occupant responses in frontal rigid barrier crash tests conducted using model year 2002 and 2003 vehicles in support of the FMVSS 208 Implementation plan (May 12, 2000 interim rule). Pairs of matched vehicles will be tested and evaluated with 50th and 95th percentile dummies seated in alternate seating positions. For this test, the subject vehicle was a 2002 Ford Windstar with a 95th percentile driver dummy (6' 1" Male) and a 50th percentile passenger dummy (5' 9" Male), The barrier wall was equipped with a load cell barrier."
