Now at Auction: 1942 Universal Carrier Mk I* | WW2 Canadian Armoured Vehicle

Now listed in the Tracks & Trade Winter Auction 2025: an early production 1942 Universal Carrier Mk I*, built by Ford of Canada and fully restored using original armor and period-correct materials. This example represents one of the rarest and most sought-after early variants of the iconic British/Commonwealth tracked vehicle series used during World War II. Originally delivered to Australia, this Mk I* has undergone a thorough restoration. It features a reliable 12-volt electrical conversion, NOS road wheels and sprockets, and stainless steel fuel tanks and exhausts crafted to original wartime specifications. The tracks are in good condition, and the vehicle runs and steers very well — mechanically it is in excellent shape. A No. 19 wireless set is installed and included in the sale, along with multiple period-correct accessories and stowage. This makes it not only a reliable runner but also a visually authentic showpiece, ready for reenactment events, commemorations, or private collections.
